Introducing the stunning Euphorbia sotetsu kirin is a unique and eye-catching succulent plant that belongs to the Euphorbiaceae family.  This Euphorbia kirin is a cross between Euphorbia mammillaris and Euphorbia bupleurifolia, resulting in a Japanese hybrid plant with a combination of characteristics from both parent species.

The elegant emerald-green Euphorbia sotetsu kirin boasts a sturdy, cylindrical stem of about 5 feet tall that can turn brown and lignify with age, enhancing the plant's strength and height. The succulent has a remarkably symmetrical appearance because of the numerous conical tubercles on its body.

During the growing stage, long, lanceolate leaves grow at the tip of the stem. These thin, somewhat thick leaves resemble a crown and, when combined with the tubercles, give the plant the appearance of a green pineapple.

When it comes to flowering during spring and summer, Euphorbia sotetsu kirin produces small, inconspicuous flowers that are typically greenish-yellow in color. While the flowers may not be the main attraction of this plant, they do add a touch of charm to its overall appearance.

Euphorbia sotetsu kirin is a relatively low-maintenance succulent plant, making it a popular choice among succulent enthusiasts. Euphorbia sotetsu kirin thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers well-draining soil. Like most succulents, it has adapted to arid conditions and is drought-tolerant. It is crucial to refrain from overwatering, though, as this might cause root rot. Euphorbia sotetsu kirin is typically suited for USDA zones 9 to 11. It thrives in warm climates and is known for its unique, spiky appearance.

With its unique form, interesting texture, and beautiful coloration, Euphorbia sotetsu kirin is a captivating addition to any succulent collection. Its striking appearance makes it a standout plant that is sure to catch the eye and spark conversation.

Best series on the market
Format: Paperback
Every book in these series (Who Was, What Was, Where Is) is worth adding to your library. In my classroom they are the ones that have been read over and over. Students sign up to check out the newest releases even before they have arrived. I am collecting them all and have over 125 to date. So interesting, I read them as soon as they arrive.

Format: Paperback
Very good. Also includes some information on other aspects of Roman life besides just the uses of the Colosseum. Wish the author had given more details about the Colosseum itself - especially the system of pulleys and underground chambers.
